Arguing Paragraph
Topic : Should teaching assistants be given so much authority in running classes?
A teaching assistant is one of student in the college who is chosen by the teacher to assist her. She should not be given so much authority in a running class because of several reasons. First, as an assistant, she just has to replace the teacher if the teacher can not come at that time, because the function of a teaching assistant is being the right-hand of the teacher. If the teacher can not come or has not come yet, the assistant should inform the class and give the materials for the students in the class. In this case, the function of a teaching assistant is not in a running class, but she just replacing the teacher. Second, if a teaching assistant give too much authority in a running class, it will make other students feel jealous with her, because they think that they are in the same college and level. For example, when the teacher explains about the material, the teaching assistant asking to the whole class if they have any question or do not really clear with the teacher’s explanation. It is really disturb the entire class. A teaching assistant may feel smarter that others and look degrade other students. Finally, a teaching assistant can do something only the teacher asked. It can be fair for everyone.

I think you should look at your sentence : "In this case, the function of a teaching assistant is not in a running class, but she just replacing the teacher."
ReplyDeleteIt should be : "In this case, the function of a teaching assistant is not in a running class, but she just replaces the teacher."
you should change "REPLACING" becomes "REPLACES"
,thx
thank you
DeleteI write it "replacing" because I continuing my sentence before "If the teacher can not come or has not come yet, the assistant should inform the class and give the materials for the students in the class".
So, is that right if I use present continuous in my next sentence? What do you think? I'm totally need your suggestion, Rexy.
No, I don't think so, because present continuous tense is used to describe the event which is occuring in that time. But, your sentence doesn't present that is present continuous tense. It's a present tense.
Deletea teaching assistant is a student
ReplyDeleteyou said, " give the materials"
it means the student teaches the other students..
is it right.
besides that
the teaching assistant asking to bla bla bla...
I don't see any verb in the sentence..
why don't you try to put TO BE or verb1 maybe....
yeah.. that's right
ReplyDeleteas I know that 'a teaching assistant' is a student and she replaces the teacher in the class if the teacher couldn't come.
oke randy, thank's for your suggestion :)
