Football versus soccer as spectator sports

             Although football and soccer are sports that played with eleven players in each side of the team, there are many differences that make them worlds apart. Football is played by throwing the ball but also kicking the ball in some situation. Soccer is played by kicking the ball because the players are prohibited from touching the ball with their hands, except the goalkeeper. Another difference is football uses an oval-shaped ball while soccer uses round balls. They also differ on how players scored a score. In football, they make score with a touch down by touching the ball down over a touch-line at the enemy side. In soccer, they make score by putting the ball into the enemy net. There is also difference on how long they play a game. Football is played over 60 minutes that are split into four quarters while soccer is played over 90 minutes that are split into two halves. Although both football and soccer are interesting sports, I prefer soccer than football because on how they are played and soccer also more popular than football.
